Job Description: As an ML (Machine Learning) Engineer Intern, you will help design and develop AI computer vision inference infrastructure across multiple industry verticals, including solar, wind turbines, and commercial roofing. These models will need to be deployed in batch processing along with real-time streaming architectures in a cloud environment. You will also help design and develop model monitoring frameworks to ensure the deployed models are functioning properly. Collaboration with product managers and ML engineers will be required to ensure the models perform to the product specifications.
Day-to-day Duties:
- Building, monitoring, and deploying machine learning inference pipelines in cloud environments such as AWS.
- Optimizing the machine learning inference pipelines to be faster, more scalable, and more robust.
- Collaborating and roadmapping ideas with other members of the machine learning team and other cross-functional teams.
- Writing documentation on how to run, test, and use the various models and other programs that you will develop.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Experience with deploying computer vision models in a professional setting.
- Experience with deploying and monitoring machine learning models into production environments.
- Proficiency in Python, Pytorch, and AWS.
- Experience building highly scalable machine learning models that can handle large amounts of volume and data.
- Experience working with aerial and/or geospatial imagery.
- Familiarity with Metaflow and Pytorch Lightning.
