Job Description
Role Purpose
The Lead Administrator role aims to provide significant technical expertise in the architecture planning and design of the relevant tower (platform, database, middleware, backup, etc.) while overseeing its day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Architecture Planning and Design
- Support architecture planning, migration, and installation for new projects within the designated tower.
- Lead the structural and architectural design of platforms, middleware, databases, backups, etc., ensuring scalability and extensibility.
- Conduct technology capacity planning, considering current and future requirements.
- Leverage new features of underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of databases and applications/platforms.
- Strategize and implement disaster recovery plans, alongside backup and recovery plans.
- Day-to-Day Operations Management
- Troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and develop fixes to prevent recurrence.
- Plan and manage upgrades, migrations, maintenance, backup, installation, and configuration functions.
- Review technical performance and deploy strategies to enhance efficiency, fine-tune performance, and mitigate challenges.
- Develop shift rosters to ensure uninterrupted tower operations.
- Create and update SOPs, data responsibility matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, and data architecture guidance.
- Provide weekly status reports to client leadership and internal stakeholders on database activities, including progress, updates, status, and next steps.
- Develop Service Improvement Plans (SIP) through technology automation and other initiatives for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

- Internal: Interact with Technology Solutions Group, BU Teams, different infrastructure teams for understanding requirements, planning and status updates, maintenance and backup, issue resolution, etc.
- External: Engage with clients and vendors/manufacturers for understanding requirements, planning and status updates, development, and deployment of platforms, applications, databases, etc.
