Job Description

Role Purpose:

The primary objective of this role is to design, test, and maintain software programs for operating systems or applications to be deployed at client sites, ensuring they meet 100% quality assurance parameters.

Responsibilities:

1. Understand product/software requirements and design.
2. Develop software solutions by studying information needs, systems flow, and work processes.
3. Investigate problem areas throughout the software development life cycle.
4. Conduct root cause analysis of system issues.
5. Identify opportunities to improve system performance.
6. Analyze client requirements and translate them into feasible designs.
7. Collaborate with functional teams or systems analysts to investigate software requirements.
8. Consult with project managers to understand software capabilities.
9. Code software and ensure optimal module development.
10. Determine operational feasibility of software solutions.
11. Develop and automate processes for software validation.
12. Modify software to fix errors, improve performance, or upgrade interfaces.
13. Recommend and plan installation of new systems or modifications to existing systems.
14. Ensure code is error-free and test failures are addressed.
15. Prepare reports on programming project specifications and activities.
16. Compile comprehensive and accurate documentation.
17. Coordinate with the team on project status and progress.
18. Provide feedback on usability and serviceability.
19. Report quality risks to stakeholders.
20. Maintain regular communication with clients for requirements clarification and feedback.
21. Participate in continuing education and training.
22. Evaluate software-hardware interfaces and develop specifications.
23. Document solutions with flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, etc.
24. Ensure clear and formal documentation from proposal to implementation.
25. Maintain good quality interaction with customers.
26. Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.

Stakeholder Interaction:

Internal:

• Regular reporting and updates to Lead Software Developer and Project Manager.
• Coordination with Software Developers for work support and testing solutions.

External:

• Provide appropriate solutions and support to clients as per requirements.
