As a Data Engineer III at Walmart Global Tech, you will leverage your up-to-date expertise to develop, execute, and improve action plans. About the Team
The ALL Transform & Enable team leverages data-driven insights to support business and research partners. As a Data Scientist on the team, you will conduct exploratory data analysis, build reliable data pipelines, and develop predictive models. You will also train and test models, build reports, and present information to stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain optimal data platform and pipeline architecture
- Assemble large, complex data sets to meet business requirements
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements
- Build infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using SQL and GCP technologies
- Assist stakeholders with data-related technical issues and support data infrastructure needs
- Ensure data security across national boundaries through multiple data centers and GCP regions
- Create data tools for analytics team members to optimize product development
- Strive for greater functionality in data systems in collaboration with data and analytics experts
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field with 4+ years of experience in an analytics or related field
- Relevant 3+ years of experience in an analytics or related field
- Fluency in SQL and understanding of statistical analysis and query logic
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R, and experience with visualization libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly)
- Expertise in visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker)
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (GCP, Azure)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team coordination
