About the Role

As a Cloud Engineer, you will:

  • Be an active member of a team responsible for provisioning public Cloud Native platform infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts to deploy cloud resources through pipelines and automate application installations.
  • Create, operationalize, and document cloud patterns services for a self-serve model.
  • Work with the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and cloud architectures to adopt and ensure common TR Technology standards.
  • Educate and guide internal teams to build effective Cloud Native solutions.
  • Continuously improve deployment methods and processes for effective product delivery across environments.
  • Stay updated with emerging cloud technology trends, including those from AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Collaborate with technical staff across various locations in an agile team environment.
  • Advocate for Cloud Native solutions to leverage full cloud platform capabilities.
  • Provide technical support to operations or other development teams as needed.
  • Suggest solutions or software enhancements, reviewed by senior developers.
  • Ensure cloud solutions comply with security and compliance standards.
  • Participate in project planning, analyze requirements, provide design options, work breakdown, and estimates.
  • Lead process improvements based on investigative, analytic, or diagnostic services.
  • Provide status updates for own work scope within projects.
  • Identify and resolve standard technical and operational problems.
  • Communicate information effectively and ensure understanding.
  • Respond to non-standard customer requests with assistance as needed.
  • Explain complex issues and obtain agreement when necessary.

About You

You are a fit for this role if you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience in cloud engineering.
  • Python development experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in IT and public cloud, including Networking, Infrastructure, Security, Storage, and Operating Systems (Linux/Windows).
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure provisioning, automation, and infrastructure as code.
  • Familiarity with core cloud services (EC2, S3, Azure Virtual Machine, Azure Storage, ALB, Route53, Azure DNS, etc.).
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, PostgreSQL, ElastiCache, etc.).
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure messaging/events, firewalls, security, and identity/access services.
  • Experience with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, Azure).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills with onsite/remote teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Curiosity and passion for learning new technologies.
  • Preferred: AWS and/or Azure certifications.
