The Properties team at Target is dedicated to creating and maintaining a joyful physical experience for consumers, teams, and communities. Within Properties, the Property Management team strategically manages Target properties to deliver superior store environments through innovative and financially disciplined approaches.
The Data & Insights team’s mission is to leverage data to inform decisions that enhance guest experience at every Target location. We drive analytical projects such as A/B testing, statistical analysis, and experimentation to support Property Management’s strategy.
The Data & Insight team:
- Serves as strategic analytics partners, anticipating and addressing business needs.
- Listens to and empowers team members and external stakeholders.
- Conducts analytical projects and provides insights and recommendations.
- Collaborates with technology and data engineering teams to implement optimal data management practices.
About the role:
As a Data Analyst, you will explore data, technologies, and mathematical techniques to derive business insights. You will engage in data wrangling, reporting, visualization, statistical analysis, and modeling within an agile environment. Key responsibilities include:
- Exploring data for specific use cases.
- Creating measurable insights to share.
- Documenting calculations and adhering to data management principles.
- Participating in team meetings and collaborating with business users.
- Supporting data infrastructure and team operations.
About You:
- BA/BS or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years’ work experience in data analysis or relevant education.
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, and various databases.
- Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
- Ability to apply the scientific method and experimental design.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
