About the role:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing robust security requirements, architecture blueprints, and processes tailored for our public cloud environment. Your duties will include reviewing, advising on, and approving security concepts for various digital solutions across Swiss Re’s IT landscape. You’ll collaborate closely with key decision-makers within Swiss Re’s architecture teams to drive long-term cloud adoption and ensure alignment with group security requirements. Additionally, you’ll oversee the implementation of security requirements during application development and throughout the application lifecycle. Staying abreast of emerging security trends and leading proof of concepts will be essential in advancing both technical and organizational security competencies.
About the team:
As part of the Security Team, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the security of Swiss Re’s application landscape. The Security Advisors Centre of Expertise is the go-to unit for security-related advice on any IT project within the company. The team is dedicated to cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk, and compliance, defining and advancing Swiss Re’s security strategy.

Qualifications:
While no one is expected to meet 100% of our requirements, we are looking for candidates who possess:
- A passion for security architecture and its role in enabling business performance.
- Significant knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, technologies, and standard methods, coupled with a willingness to explore new areas.
- A proactive, can-do attitude that yields tangible results.
- Deep expertise in several cybersecurity areas, including but not limited to cloud security architecture and patterns, cloud-native development, automated security processes on cloud platforms, cyber threats and mitigations, security frameworks, and Microsoft Workplace and Office products in enterprise-grade configurations.
- Familiarity with security standards in regulated environments, application development processes, and agile methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and empathetically.
Nice-to-have:
- Certifications such as Microsoft, CISSP, CCSP, SANS GIAC, or similar.
