The Azure Cloud Platform is a unit within the Public Cloud Transformation department at Swiss Re. We are responsible for building and operating a secure Public Cloud, adhering to Swiss Re’s security framework, local regulatory and compliance guidelines, and business needs. Our mission is to leverage the power and flexibility of the public cloud to deliver higher value to the business and enable business transformation.
As a Platform Support / SRE, you will ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of Swiss Re’s Azure platform. Your role involves developing and implementing technical solutions aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality code and solutions, focusing on reliability, automation, and security.
- Operate production systems in close collaboration with product engineering teams, monitoring service availability, latency, and performance.
- Lead incident resolution for the production platform and conduct detailed root cause investigations during postmortems.
- Promote a culture of seamless teamwork across teams.
- Focus on delivering automated and self-healing systems.
- Continuously engage in workload planning and explore solutions to enhance platform efficiency using public cloud opportunities.
- Provide technical support and guidance to cross-functional teams to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security.
- Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in the cloud space.
Qualifications/About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in providing technical support and guidance for cloud-based systems and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
- Experience working in agile environments using Scrum/Kanban.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
