Position Summary:

The Senior Data Analyst, SEM at Sojern will play a critical role in the Science and Optimization group, working closely with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Applied Scientists to enhance Sojern’s AI marketing products. The ideal candidate should be highly detail-oriented, data-driven, and experienced in SEM platforms, SQL, and Tableau.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to improve the performance and efficiency of Sojern’s AI marketing products.
  • Performance Analysis: Use analytical tools to monitor key metrics and provide actionable insights.
  • Research: Conduct in-depth research to identify opportunities for SEM automation and optimization.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and search engine algorithms to refine strategies.
  • Performance Assessment: Identify and address performance opportunities within the product.
  • Training and Feedback: Collect feedback from peers and provide training on new features and algorithms.
  • A/B Testing: Execute and analyze A/B tests to inform data-driven decisions.

Requirements:

  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities to optimize large-scale campaigns.
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and spreadsheet tools like Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
  • SEM Expertise: 5+ years of relevant work experience with 2-4 years in SEM platforms (Search Ads 360, Google Ads/Google Ads Editor, Microsoft Ads/Microsoft Ads Editor).
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for effective collaboration and presentation.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, or Mathematics.
  • Additional Skills: Knowledge of Python scripting and experience in executing and analyzing A/B tests is a plus.
