Role Overview
As a Product Designer, you will have the opportunity to build and lead your own team to develop a product and brand image that stands out. Your work will play a key role in creating designs that replace traditional credit cards. You’ll receive ample feedback to refine and perfect your designs, working towards the goal of building a world-class product.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal teams to define strategy and roadmap.
- Hire, coach, and mentor product designers, managing their career development.
- Help shape the product vision of Slice.
- Communicate and evangelize design plans and practices.
- Maintain high standards for quality and delivery as a brand custodian.
- Facilitate collaboration between designers and Product, Engineering, Research, Data, and Business teams.
- Stay updated on trends influencing user expectations and behaviors.
- Translate company and team objectives into actionable design initiatives and measurable OKRs.
- Provide mentorship to peers and junior designers.
- Manage multiple projects, aligning them with business priorities.
- Enhance Slice’s design community, culture, and processes.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in Product Design.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, critical thinking, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to articulate thoughts throughout the design process.
- Good understanding of brand narratives, personalities, and visual identity.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficient in user experience design and implementation using various tools and technologies.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and work collaboratively in an agile process.
- Proven track record of guiding teams and delivering innovative solutions.
