Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand project specifications and customer needs; may participate in job site walkthroughs.
- Design systems for standard facilities, including mechanical system layouts, electrical drawings, valve and damper schedules, and control panel layouts.
- Interpret and design sequences of operations to identify hardware and logic requirements for systems.
- Analyze plans, construction contract specifications, and codes to determine project requirements and risks.
- Select appropriate types and sizes of products.
- Ensure job scope, specifications, and schematics meet customer needs through follow-up with sales and management.
- Participate in sales-to-operations turnover meetings to evaluate the accuracy of estimates and job layouts.
- Assist in peer review for engineering documents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Ability to interpret customer requirements, identify needs, and resolve issues positively.
- Adaptability to shifting demands and competing priorities to manage time effectively and meet established deadlines.
