The responsibilities associated with this role are as follows:
- Develop accurate SystemC/TLM software models for CPUs (including ARM and RISC-V architectures) and other hardware devices suitable for composing virtual platforms.
- Verify the functionality of models against behavior models and/or RTL using SystemC and/or UVM/SystemVerilog, and execute unit testing/debugging while implementing the test plan.
- Construct virtual platforms for hardware designs at the system level. This involves loading/booting Linux/Mentor Embedded Linux (MEL)/Android on the virtual platform and simulating and debugging customers’ software.
- Produce professional functional specifications and design documents to document the project’s requirements and design decisions.
Preferred Skills:
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, or have equivalent experience, with a minimum of a Very Good with honors degree.
- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming and Embedded Linux development is essential.
- A foundational understanding of digital circuits and digital design/systems is required, while experience in programming using System C is considered advantageous.
- Applicants should demonstrate adeptness in utilizing Linux/Unix operating systems, as well as proficiency in scripting languages such as Make, Tcl, and Perl.
- The role necessitates well-honed written and oral communication skills, along with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and meet strict deadlines.
