Senior Associate Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate, you will work as part of a team of problem solvers to address complex business issues from strategy to execution. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Key Activities

  • Supporting the Procurement Governance structure in planning and executing administrative activities.
  • Interacting with suppliers for registration, risk assessment, creation of purchase orders, contracts, etc.
  • Taking ownership of inquiries, resolving or escalating them as appropriate.
  • Demonstrating strong organizational skills and acting on own initiative to highlight issues and suggest possible solutions.
  • Focusing on client service, dealing with both external and internal clients professionally and discreetly.
  • Exhibiting effective listening skills and excellent English oral and written communication skills, including spelling, editing, proofreading, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Exercising excellent judgment, strong problem-solving skills, and taking appropriate actions in ambiguous situations.
  • Prioritizing multiple responsibilities, adapting, and working within tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrating confidence in working in a highly technical and process-driven, ever-changing work environment.
  • Demonstrating advanced proficiency in Google Suite Applications and MS Office Suite.
  • Functioning as a backup for other team members and contributing to other teaming activities as directed.

Requirements

  • Industry experience in supporting the Procurement Governance structure in planning and executing administrative activities.
  • Superior knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Forms) with strong competency in Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Data analytical skills and competency in platforms like PowerBI (preferred).
  • Experience in purchasing goods or services (preferred).
  • Proficiency in learning to work with new technologies.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in administrative work in medium to large corporations of any industry.
  • Post-secondary education and relative work experience (e.g., MS Office Specialist).
  • Bilingualism is an asset.
  • Senior Associate 1: 4 to 6 years of professional experience in Procurement-related work.
  • Senior Associate 2: 6 to 8 years of professional experience in Procurement-related work.
