Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, validate, and audit market risk and counterparty credit risk models.
  • Manage quantitative market and counterparty risk analytical models independently.
  • Support financial institutions in meeting regulatory requirements and broader risk management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with clients to design and implement strategic changes across various functions such as risk management, treasury, and valuation processes.

Core Skills and Experience Required:

  • Expertise in statistical/mathematical modeling, quantitative research, and counterparty/market risk management.
  • Strong knowledge in areas such as Counterparty Credit Risk (PFE, CVA, XVA), pricing and valuation of derivatives, risk metrics modeling, market risk scenarios, and stress testing.
  • Proficiency in programming and algorithms, with experience in R, Python, SAS, Matlab, Scala, and VBA.
  • Familiarity with global regulatory topics like BASEL II/III, IFRS 9, CCAR/DFAST, and FRTB.
  • Experience with financial products such as equity, derivatives, swaps, and OTC products.

Additional Skills:

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage large, complex engagements.
  • Understanding of market trends in the financial services sector.

Educational Background:

  • Master’s degree or higher in a quantitative discipline (Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, etc.), with relevant certifications (CQF, FRM, CFA, CPA) being a plus.
