Team Overview: Join the PayPal.com web team as a Full Stack JavaScript Engineer. You will collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and senior engineers to create outstanding solutions and products.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Work with Designers, Product Owners, and Domain Technical Leads to develop robust software solutions.
  • Estimate engineering efforts, prioritize projects, plan implementations, and manage production issues.
  • Engage in a dynamic, collaborative environment focused on continuous innovation and improvement.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test web applications and services following best practices.
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to craft excellent product experiences.
  • Work closely with peers and senior engineers within and across teams.
  • Assist with application deployments in the Cloud environment.
  • Ensure high availability of applications and services with operations teams.
  • Drive innovation through rapid prototyping and iterative development.
  • Identify and document best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills with a growth mindset.
  • Solid knowledge of algorithms and design patterns.
  • Passion for writing clean, readable, and scalable code.
  • Experience with client and server-side JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, React.js, Node.js, and Webpack.
  • Experience in developing automated unit and functional tests.
  • Proficient with versioning tools like Git and CI/CD.
  • Knowledge in SEO, page optimizations, CDN, Content Management, and related tools.
  • Experience in building and using RESTful APIs; exposure to GraphQL is a plus.
