Role Overview

As a Data Analyst, Payments at Ottimate, you will:

  • Play a crucial role in providing strategic insights to drive payments revenue growth.
  • Use your analytical skills to shape the payments program and offerings.
  • Collaborate with various departments, analyze payments data, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and distribute accurate recurring and ad hoc payments reports.
  • Prepare presentations for payments results, forecasts, and plans.
  • Provide deep data analysis to solve complex payments problems.
  • Support payments operations with actionable data and insights.
  • Consult on payments database needs to ensure data quality.
  • Present analytical findings and recommend improvements to the payments team.
  • Develop growth and margin improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate on strategic payments initiatives.

  • Comfort with Excel and interest in tools like SQL, Power Query, Tableau.
  • Ability to connect results and key metrics, providing detailed performance explanations.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to align on business priorities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA or progress towards MBA is a plus).
  • 3+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL, Power Query, Tableau, Power BI is a plus.
  • Experience with Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to meet in person weekly in Massachusetts as set by the GM, Payments.
