ByPosition: Supervisor, Coding
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in life science is preferred, though certification may also be necessary.
- Experience leading a team of 10-20 coders.
- Proficient in outpatient and hospital coding with a strong knowledge base.
- Demonstrates high individual initiative.
- Capable of drafting policies and procedures.
- Skilled in providing effective one-on-one coaching.
- Ability to monitor absences and oversee day-to-day operations.
- Competent in conducting QA reviews.
- Able to offer coding guidance to peers.
- Capable of identifying and addressing areas of weakness through educational initiatives.
- Experience as a project leader.
- Can lead peers in the absence of a Senior Team Lead or Manager.
- Effective communication skills with team members.
- Maintains a high level of accuracy (95%) and completeness (95%).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience with at least 1-2 years in a Team Lead role.
