Your Opportunity: New Relic’s Product Analytics team is seeking a dynamic Data Analyst to join our efforts in uncovering deep insights into customer and user engagement across our product portfolio. This role is pivotal in delivering relevant and measurable intelligence to our Product leadership, aiding in the maturation of our analytic capabilities, and leveraging the vast amount of business, user, and customer data we generate.
What You’ll Do:
- Conduct In-Depth Data Analysis: Identify trends, patterns, and user behaviors, and understand their corresponding business impact to inform product development decisions.
- Utilize Data Science Techniques: Apply statistical methods and data science techniques to conduct exploratory analyses and develop predictive models, driving business insights and decision-making.
- Develop and Maintain KPIs: Establish a balanced set of key performance indicators and metrics to assess the success of product initiatives, such as product adoption, revenue impact, and user retention.
- Extract Actionable Insights: Use various data analysis tools and methodologies to extract actionable insights from large datasets, covering both product usage and financial data.
- Present Data-Driven Reports: Create and present reports and presentations to stakeholders, showcasing how product improvements positively impact the bottom line.
- Stay Current with Best Practices: Continuously update your knowledge of best practices in data analysis and data science to make well-informed, data-driven recommendations.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field).
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of related work experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar.
- Data Science Tools: Strong proficiency in data science tools and programming languages, especially Python.
- Statistical and Machine Learning Knowledge: Solid understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, particularly in the context of influencing strategies.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills to independently execute, document, and communicate tasks, and influence stakeholders and partners during requirement gathering, designing data models, and visualization.
- Data Privacy Knowledge: Understanding of data privacy and security best practices.
Bonus Points:
- Data Platforms Familiarity: High familiarity with data platforms and applications such as Sagemaker, Jupyter, Snowflake, Airflow, FiveTran, and DBT.
- Methodology Experience: Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Data Science Experience: Prior experience in data science with a proven track record of successfully deploying the work for business impact.
