Job Responsibilities

Interact within the Data Sciences team and with Product teams
Implement solutions and contribute to the culture
Expertise in areas such as machine learning, probability theory, optimization, simulation, econometrics, deep learning, NLP, or computer vision
Own the design and implementation of algorithmic solutions (e.g., recommendation or forecasting)
Drive development of problem statements, define metrics, validate models, and study data feasibility
Evaluate trade-offs between simple and complex models
Maintain a well-documented codebase
Develop in programming languages like Python, SQL, Java, R
Create data pipelines and components within Data Science applications
Articulate technical strategy and its impact on the business
Lead in identifying problem spaces, defining problem statements, and designing sustainable solutions
Collaborate with peers, provide technical support, and document work
Participate in code reviews and understand different application components

Required Skills and Capabilities

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields, or equivalent experience
3 to 5 years of professional or industry experience
Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, Hadoop/Hive (Spark, Scala, R, Java are a plus)
Experience in data wrangling, preparing data, querying, and exploratory analysis
Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving
Knowledge in developing mathematical and statistical concepts, MILP, algorithms
Experience in optimization, simulation, and statistical models
Self-driven and independent
Experience with ambiguity and dynamic environments
Proven experience in developing metrics, dashboards, and reports using BI tools (e.g., Domo, Tableau, Power BI)
Experience with big data architecture (Hadoop, Hive, Spark)
Effective communication skills for presenting complex data solutions
Experience in agile environments
Experience in contact center analytics or the retail industry
Ability to meet tight timelines
Strong team player with global collaboration skills
Keeps up-to-date with evolving technologies
