About the Role

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Meesho, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our platform’s reliability and scalability. You’ll work closely with various engineering teams to automate tasks, maintain observability, and ensure high availability of our systems. This role demands proactive planning and execution of SRE practices to support our business operations seamlessly.

Responsibilities

Manage BAU Operations: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
Automation and Platformization: Develop software to automate repetitive tasks using modern technologies.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to meet observability requirements and maintain the Observability Stack (e.g., Grafana, VMStack).
Incident Management: Ensure uptime of systems, manage incidents, and collaborate with service teams and stakeholders.
Automation Tools: Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline operational processes.
SLI, SLO, and SLA Adherence: Define and maintain Service Level Indicators (SLI), Service Level Objectives (SLO), and adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, implement best practices in SRE, observability, alerting, and infrastructure automation.
On-call Support: Participate in rotational on-call duties to provide continuous operational support.

Requirements

Experience: 3+ years as a DEVOPS/SRE with strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages (Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, Bash), containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
Development Mindset: Capable of developing and maintaining software, with hands-on experience in API/UI development.
Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields from reputable universities.
