About the Role
As a Category Associate, your primary responsibility will be to:
- Plan and Execute: Develop and implement plans for scaling up suppliers’ businesses, expanding selection, and ensuring competitive pricing.
- Leadership: Mentor and motivate a team of Key Account Managers, advocating Meesho’s values and principles.
- Collaboration: Work with central teams to ensure the best selection, affordable prices, and high visibility on the platform.
- Process Development: Establish robust processes for the smooth execution of critical tasks.
- Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and goals for the team, and assess the success of individual and team-level tasks.
- Communication: Communicate priorities and key decisions effectively with stakeholders using excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
- Problem Resolution: Drive higher supplier engagement and quick problem resolution by guiding your team effectively.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Influence strategic decisions by earning the trust of stakeholders and using quantitative and qualitative data to drive decisions.
- Goal Setting: Help define category short- and medium-term goals, design execution roadmaps, and set team priorities aligned with the company’s overall strategic goals.
Requirements
- Education: BE/B.Tech from premier institutes; MBA preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of overall experience with at least 1+ years in leading teams; experience with startups and fast-paced environments is an advantage.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and building points of view (POV).
- Strong strategic and tactical thinking.
- Deep understanding of business and customers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage stakeholders.
