AMAZON IS HIRING LOA (LEAVE OF ABSENCE) CASE MANAGER

Role Overview:

The LOA Case Manager is responsible for managing cases related to leave of absence and disability events. This individual contributor role involves being the primary point of contact for employees throughout the duration of their leave or disability event, ensuring a seamless and compliant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to inquiries about leave and disability events, benefits, and available options for employees.
  • Serve as the main contact for assigned employees, managing all aspects of their case, including reviewing medical documentation.
  • Apply best practices and Amazon resources to support the management of leave events.
  • Adjust case management plans according to the employee’s changing needs.
  • Address sensitive situations and troubleshoot issues related to leave events.
  • Facilitate smooth returns to work for employees, including planning ramp-back schedules.
  • Educate managers and business partners on employee needs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Coordinate with various departments, including HR, Legal, Payroll, and Benefits.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, HR, or a related field, or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, HR management, case management, or leave & disability management.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of US legislation regarding Leave of Absence, Disability, and Accommodations (e.g., ADA/ADAAA, FMLA).
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience in case management systems and managing multiple projects or cases independently.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
