Job Description
Role Overview: J.P. Morgan Payments is at the intersection of finance and technology, handling $6 trillion in payments daily. The Payments Data and Analytics team is integral in defining and executing the global analytics strategy. This team consists of data scientists, design strategists, and business leaders who create data products transforming business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and plan analytic projects aligned with business objectives.
- Create data queries, tables, and visualizations to deliver insights.
- Provide actionable recommendations to merchants for optimizing payment performance.
- Productionalize Tableau dashboards for resilience and user functionality.
- Collaborate with data owners and department managers on data model development.
- Apply quality assurance best practices and support user feedback.
- Adhere to change control and testing processes for code modifications.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a big data environment.
- Proficiency in SQL on Snowflake, Python, and Tableau for rapid prototyping.
- Understanding of algorithms and software engineering fundamentals.
- Ability to distill KPIs and performance metrics from data.
- Experience in the payments industry and/or technology-enabled industries is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Proven strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
