About the Opportunity:
Join our dynamic team at HSBC as an Associate Lead for Data Movement & Integrity (GSC). In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the seamless rollout and maintenance of Data Movement (DMOV) controls across our organization. Working closely with the Data Movement Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in documenting and preserving the integrity of HSBC’s data.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Global DMOV Control Lead to engage GBGF Tech, Data, and Business teams on control design and adoption.
- Monitor and maintain DMOV standards, tools, and best practices, conducting training sessions as required.
- Provide guidance to junior team members on technical and functional DMOV matters.
- Ensure compliance with data movement and integrity policies and standards, recording evidence effectively.
- Foster communication with stakeholders, advocating the importance of data management to executive members and external parties.
Challenges:
- Navigate technical complexities in implementing DMOV controls across the organization.
- Manage responsibilities amidst changing priorities and tasks.
- Uphold professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including regulators.
Requirements for Success:
- Experience in metadata management and familiarity with tools like Collibra preferred.
- Proficiency in data warehouse, data lake, and big data platforms.
- Previous knowledge of GB/GF systems to support stakeholder management.
- Ability to make tough decisions and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to change.
