Role & Responsibilities:

Payroll:

  • Comprehensive understanding of payroll concepts, their application in payroll systems, and implications on different destinations.
  • Handling expatriate taxation, working with gross-ups, and managing monthly and yearly international reporting.
  • Independent end-to-end payroll processing until finalization.
  • Executing multiple micro-processes post finalization of salary until the delivery of payroll.
  • Proficient in reporting various reports to different stakeholders within the company.
  • Proactive in thinking of multiple solutions to a problem simultaneously.
  • Confident in facing customers and resolving issues quickly.
  • Knowledgeable in end-to-end Form-16 Part A & B reconciliation before issuing to employees.
  • Maintaining a TDS tracker on perquisites paid by the employer.
  • Proficient in Excel to prepare end-to-end bonus calculations for all consulting and local business function employees.
  • Professional customer service attitude.
  • Capable of dealing with banks and various external vendors.

Compliances:

  • Knowledgeable and understanding of statutory and labor compliances.
  • Proficient in preparing data for filing TDS returns, PF returns, Professional Tax returns, and Labour Welfare funds, including their implications upon filing to respective domains.
  • Handling different compliance vendors to ensure all compliances are in place every month.
  • Arranging various helpdesk services in office premises.

Accounting / Audits:

  • Understanding of monthly payroll journal entries booking and related accounting tasks leading to month-end close (advantageous).
  • Capable of clearing all payroll-related reconciliations.
  • Working with internal auditors, statutory auditors, and tax auditors to assist in audits.
