Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Performance Analyst at IBM, your responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and analyzing the performance of Linux, KVM, and associated libraries.
- Identifying performance bottlenecks within the stack and isolating the root cause.
- Demonstrating a passion for learning new technologies and delving deep into system and software architecture to solve complex problems.
- Generating reports and recommendations to enhance overall performance.
- Collaborating with developers to address performance issues.
- Implementing best practices for performance optimization.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Software Performance Analyst or in a related field.
- Profound knowledge in the application of performance tools and methodologies.
- Experience conducting performance tests and measurements.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:
Preferred qualifications include:
- Previous contributions to Open Source projects or current Open Source involvement.
- Experience with Linux OS.
- Proficiency in scripting, particularly Python and Shell.
- Familiarity with IBM Z architecture (“Principles of Operations”), networking, and storage concepts.
- Experience with Linux on IBM Z and Linux command line tools.
