ByRole Overview:
As a Data Engineer at IBM, you will play a key role in managing data and supporting analytics for various industries. This position is located at IBM’s Consulting Client Innovation Centers, where you will collaborate with experts and clients to implement innovative solutions using IBM and Red Hat technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for both batch and stream processing using ETL tools like Informatica PowerCenter or Cloud ETL/ELT tools.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements, identify data sources, and address data quality issues.
- Design and implement data structures and processing routines, perform unit testing, and support UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
- Work with data scientists and business analytics teams to assist in data ingestion and resolve data-related technical issues.
Required Technical Expertise:
- Proficiency in Data Warehousing, Data Integration, and Business Intelligence using ETL tools like Informatica PowerCenter.
- Knowledge of Cloud technologies, Power BI, and data migration on the cloud.
- Experience in Unix shell scripting and Python.
- Familiarity with relational SQL databases and Big Data.
Preferred Technical Expertise:
- Knowledge of MS Azure Cloud.
- Advanced experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
- Experience with Unix shell scripting and Python.
