Role Overview: As a Specialist in IT Support at Fiserv, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions for data/file transmission between multiple systems. You will be responsible for supporting and optimizing file transfer processes, resolving transmission failures, and ensuring seamless operations within a multi-client, multi-facility environment.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze business and technical requirements to design and implement solutions for data/file transmission.
- Develop specifications and implement solutions leveraging tools such as SFG (Sterling File Gateway), Mainframe NDM, and Connect Direct.
- Create Transmission JCL and scripting on Mainframe and midrange environments.
- Communicate directly with clients, test files, research file failures, and provide advanced problem identification and resolution.
- Set up and analyze transmission processes, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to clients.
- Develop, configure, and implement file transfer solutions using standard protocols like SFTP, FTPS, Connect Direct, AS2, and S3.
- Support application developers and business users, offering consulting services.
- Troubleshoot priority incidents and facilitate root cause analysis (RCA).
Requirements:
- 3-8 years of strong expertise in SFTP and other file transmission protocols, including hands-on experience.
- Experience in designing, developing, and implementing file transmission systems.
- Proficiency in file transfer protocols such as SSH/SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, Connect Direct, SSL Certificate, and key build implementations.
- Familiarity with SFG Sterling File Gateway and business process development.
- Understanding of file encryption standards, PGP, GPG, cipher suites, and PKI.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with business partners.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize work effectively.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business, or equivalent.
- Organizational and multitasking skills with a focus on validation, verification, requirements analysis, and project oversight.
- Prior experience in the Banking and Finance domain is advantageous.
