Role Overview
You will be part of a team that focuses on designing and developing products for Eaton’s Aerospace Mission Systems Division (MSD). The role involves working on projects related to New Product Introduction (NPI), Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE), Business and Production (B&P), and Sustaining Engineering. The position also emphasizes continuous improvement to meet project KPIs and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Create and develop Aerospace MSD products, ensuring they meet safety, reliability, and industry standards.
- Project Execution: Lead a variety of Aerospace Mission Systems projects including NPI, VAVE, B&P, and sustaining engineering.
- Engineering Design: Work on mechanical and pneumatic designs using CAD tools, perform GD&T, and carry out statistical tolerancing.
- Business Proposals: Handle RFI/RFP/RFQ processes, providing engineering inputs and estimating materials and costs.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvements and ensure compliance with engineering practices.
Qualifications
- Education:
- B.E/B.Tech or M.E/M.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Master’s degree with 0-3 years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in product design & development, preferably in the Aerospace industry.
- Certification: Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) GB certification required for internal candidates.
- Experience:
- Proficient in Design for Manufacturing, DFMEA, and DVPR.
- Experience with ProE-Creo 7.0, CATIA V5, Bluebeam, and PLM systems like ENOVIA/Windchill.
Skills Required
- Technical Skills: Pneumatic design, 3D modeling, GD&T, tolerance stack-up, risk analysis (DFMEA), engineering design calculations.
- Software Proficiency: ProE-Creo 7.0, CATIA V5, Python Programming, Advanced Excel, PowerBI, and VB.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, collaborative mindset, ability to maintain effective communications with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Soft Skills: Passionate, collaborative, drive for results, analysis-first approach, digital mindset, and continuous learning.
