As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) I, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-performance, scalable software. You will utilize your skills in DevOps, coding, and Linux to develop efficient testing strategies, robust APIs, and manage data across distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and employ testing tools and frameworks to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Develop and manage REST APIs to facilitate efficient data exchange between applications.
- Build and maintain distributed systems that support rigorous performance and scalability testing.
- Work with distributed systems, big data technologies, and cloud services for effective data management.
- Advocate for unit testing, object-oriented design principles, and code review processes.
- Utilize advanced coding skills, Linux expertise, and proof-of-concept creation to deliver innovative software solutions.
Skills & Attributes for Success:
- CI/CD Integration: Proficient in conducting integration tests within a CI/CD pipeline.
- Test Planning: Ability to create detailed test plans and test cases for white-box and black-box testing.
- Automation Tools: Experience with automated testing tools to enhance efficiency and coverage.
- Programming Proficiency: Knowledge of programming languages such as Java and Python, and scripting languages for automation.
- OOP & REST APIs: Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and REST APIs for software design and testing.
- Mobile Application Deployment: Familiarity with the build, release, and deployment processes for iOS and Android mobile applications.
- Performance & Security Testing: Experience in performance and/or security testing to broaden the scope and effectiveness of testing efforts.
