Role Description

Team: Central COO Team – Business & Cost Management

  • Responsibilities:
    • Oversee forecast and planning processes, coordinating with business/CFO as needed.
    • Consolidate key drivers for cost movements to aid management in achieving financial targets and maintaining cost discipline.
    • Work on cost reduction initiatives and provide updates to senior management.
    • Conduct ad hoc analysis to complement regular planning and forecasting.
    • Upload monthly cost forecasts and IPB estimates into the system after finalizing with CFO/COO.
    • Perform deep dives and validation on driver-based cost management.
    • Analyze and monitor transfer pricing processes for actuals, planning, and forecasts.
    • Manage validity of TP agreements and methodologies across different DB areas.
    • Project manage various cost and resource management activities.
    • Handle other IPB central tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders on solution components.
  • Design target architecture for new solutions or new capabilities.
  • Ensure proper documentation of high and low-level design of delivered solutions.
  • Quality assure delivery against agreed architecture.
  • Prepare high-level design for approval by design authorities.
  • Support creation of low-level design for final implementation.

Skills and Experience

  • Proficient in RDBMS systems and data engineering with T-SQL, PL/SQL, or PL/pgSQL.
  • Proficient in data modeling approaches (Normalized, Denormalized, Star, Snowflake, DataVault 2.0).
  • Understanding of RDBMS operations and specific tuning experience in SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with non-streaming ETL and ELT approaches.
  • Designing and implementing data streaming and ingest pipelines with throughput guarantees.
  • Designing solutions in event-driven environments with service-oriented principles.
  • Experience with Kafka for messaging/streaming.
  • Understanding Java and Spring-based services delivery.
  • Experience with containerized, distributed systems.
  • Experience with GCP architecture (APIGee, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, DataFlow) and certification is a plus.
  • Familiarity with other data management solutions (Document store, Key/Value).
