Job Description:

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Daxko, you’ll tackle problems at their root with elegance and sustainability. Joining our TechOps team, you’ll play a pivotal role in building and maintaining foundational tools for our product teams, ensuring reliable and swift delivery. Reporting to the Manager, Site Reliability Engineering, your responsibilities include:

Deploying upgrades and fixes utilizing cloud computing skills (AWS, VMWare).
Designing and implementing software integrations based on user feedback.
Troubleshooting production issues and coordinating with the development team for seamless code deployment.
Implementing automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
Collaborating with team members to enhance engineering tools, systems, procedures, and data security.
Managing core components like load balancers and firewalls.
Conducting system tests for security, performance, and availability.
Developing and maintaining design and troubleshooting documentation.
Monitoring system activity 24/7 as part of an on-call rotation.
Executing disaster recovery plans and ensuring they’re regularly tested.
Limited travel (<5%) required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
2-3 years’ experience in a DevOps/SRE Role.
Expertise in software development methodologies.
Experience with DevOps tools like Git and GitLab.
Extensive experience with automation tools such as Terraform, Chef, or Ansible.

Preferred Education/Experience:

4+ years’ experience in Linux and Windows management.
Proficiency in AWS and/or VMWare Technologies.
Understanding of internet technologies (DNS, SNMP, HTTP, TCP/IP, CDNs).
Experience with Monitoring Technologies (e.g., Logicmonitor, Instana, NewRelic).
Familiarity with issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Java, or Bash.
Experience with Containers and Orchestration (e.g., Docker, K8s).
Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL, MySQL, and/or Postgres.
