Role Overview: The IT Commercial Applications team is seeking a Software Engineer I with strong software development and test automation skills. The role involves crafting, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving web-based software, as well as supporting the adoption of test automation frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other engineers to analyze and break down new feature requirements into tasks and timelines.
- Ensure traceability of all work from requirements through to tests.
- Commit to quality assurance.
- Develop reusable test plans and test cases.
- Participate in the Agile Scrum process.
- Support production deployments once a month on Saturday.
- Be part of an on-call schedule to support 24/7 uptime of the corporate website.
- Participate in late evening calls with global offices, including the US.
Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
- 0-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance Testing.
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries and experience with RDBMS.
- Experience with Angular, JavaScript, HTML, Bootstrap, Node JS, REST APIs, .NET, C#, MVC.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure cloud technologies (Azure Web App, Azure DevOps CI/CD, Azure Functions).
- Understanding of cross-browser/platform issues and solutions.
- Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Miro).
- Knowledge of authorization frameworks.
- Familiarity with cloud, digital, and web technologies like content management systems, CRM, product catalogs, and e-commerce tools.
