Position Location:

This position is for the Beckman Coulter team at the Danaher India Development Center (IDC), Bangalore. IDC is a research and development center with over 500 associates, focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The center collaborates closely with global R&D centers in the US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark, and Sweden.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop quality medical device software products.
  • Create architecture, design, code, and unit test modules/components with a focus on high-quality standards.
  • Conduct and participate in design, code, and test reviews, ensuring compliance with software engineering best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the software V&V team, managers, and multi-functional teams to develop products meeting quality, performance, scalability, reliability, and schedule goals.
  • Investigate software, hardware, and system problems and provide innovative solutions.
  • Prepare documentation required by internal product development processes and regulatory agencies such as FDA and ISO.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in commercial product development, preferably electro-mechanical instruments.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing C# .NET-based solutions with strong expertise in WPF.
  • Expertise in designing software components using OOA/OOD methodologies.
  • Experience with real-time transaction processing and data persistence using SQL databases is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of FDA Quality Systems Regulation is desirable.
  • Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation, Windows 32, and embedded software development is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel minimally.
