ByThe Solution Engineering L2/L3 role at Ciena is a remote position based in Haryana, India. As part of Ciena’s Solution Engineering & Introduction (SE&I) team, you will focus on building robust networking solutions, driving product scalability, and offering technical support for new products. The role involves working closely with teams like Product Engineering, Product Management, Sales Engineering, and Field Engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop product and solutions guidelines, test plans, and performance metrics.
- Lead customer engagements and support product trials or certifications.
- Assist with pre-sales and post-sales activities, including bid support and solution evaluation.
- Test packet networking solutions in various domains such as mobile backhaul, Ethernet business solutions, etc.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Carrier Ethernet Services, IP routing, and packet transport solutions (OSPF, BGP, MPLS).
- Experience with network platforms from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, etc.
- Scripting skills in Python, RESTful APIs, and other languages.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally at short notice.
