Job Description: The Network Operation Center (NOC) is the command center for Transportation Execution across Amazon’s Supply Chain network, supporting regions including North America, India, and Europe. The NOC ensures the timely and efficient pick-up and delivery of freight from vendors to Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FC) and from FCs to carrier hubs. The NOC is responsible for resolving any exceptions that occur, communicating with all stakeholders, analyzing network data, and proposing process improvements to streamline operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication between external customers (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Software Support, Fulfillment Centers).
- Systematically escalate and resolve problems or data variances, ensuring follow-through until resolution.
- Create narratives outlining weekly findings and variances to goals, and present these in review forums.
- Provide real-time customer experience in a 24/7 operating environment.
- Ideate and drive process improvements.
Day-to-Day Activities:
- Ensure hassle-free, timely pick-up, and delivery of freight.
- Address issues that arise during the freight lifecycle, from pick-up to delivery.
- Monitor network trends and propose process changes to improve operations.
Team Overview: The NOC plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of Amazon transportation, directly impacting Amazon’s ability to serve its customers on time.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 12-24 months of work experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree.
- Good logical skills.
- Strong communication skills to facilitate information flow between different teams.
