Description:
Amazon SageMaker Ground Truth offers comprehensive Human-in-the-Loop (HIL) capabilities, enabling customers to use human feedback to enhance ML models. This includes data generation, annotation, model review, customization, and evaluation.
As part of the HIL team, you will design, build, and maintain engineering solutions to deliver high-quality data annotations at scale, supporting Generative AI and deep learning models like Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, and Point Cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver technology solutions to solve complex business problems.
- Identify and solve architectural deficiencies and operational issues.
- Work autonomously and seek direction when necessary.
- Consider long-term scalability and evolution of systems.
- Make pragmatic, efficient, and cost-effective trade-offs.
- Thoroughly test and document your work.
- Participate in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Train and mentor new teammates.
- Participate in hiring and developing team members.
- Demonstrate operational excellence and diagnose system problems.
- Resolve root causes of performance, reliability, or availability issues.
- Improve team’s operational health and participate in design and post-incident reviews.
Typical Day:
- Collaborate with operations program managers to understand use cases.
- Verify accuracy of labeling job configurations.
- Write and tweak HTML/JS-based GUIs.
- Deploy labeling jobs and run pre/post-processing code with Python.
- Deliver results to customers in requested formats and timeframes.
- Troubleshoot, optimize, and document systems.

Basic Qualifications:
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).
- Experience with Linux/Unix.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with distributed systems at scale.
