DESCRIPTION

Amazon is seeking a Financial Analyst for the Last Mile Finance team. This role will support financial reporting and analytics, drive the launch of new technology for last mile operations, and enhance controllership. The ideal candidate will have strong finance, analytical, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior business leaders and work cross-functionally with teams such as Accounting, Business Development, Product Management, Marketing, and Operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Finance Partner: Act as a finance partner to relevant business teams.
• Controllership: Focus on achieving internal targets and efficiencies in tech headcount and costs year-over-year.
• Cost Planning: Drive the headcount and cost planning process.
• Financial Reviews: Conduct tech financial reviews with leadership.
• ROI Analysis: Analyze ROI from proposed tech investments and prioritize projects.
• Strategic Relationships: Develop and leverage strategic relationships with business partners to influence decisions, drive cost reduction, and optimize cross-functional decisions to maximize Amazon’s long-term free cash flow.
• Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and manage quantitative data to lead business improvements and cost reductions.
• Month Close Activities: Own month-end close activities and ensure accurate reporting of results.
• Efficiency Opportunities: Identify efficiency opportunities in Ops programs based on input metrics and work closely with the business team to drive improvements.
• Financial Models: Build financial analysis models to drive operational decisions across the Amazon network.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 1+ years of finance experience
• 2+ years of experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
• Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting, and reporting
• Experience using data to influence business decisions
• Chartered Accountant

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience participating in continuous improvement projects to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
• Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse, and SQL
