Job Description

Devices Data Services (DDS) within NA Sales and Marketing is looking for a passionate and solution-oriented Business Intelligence Engineer. The role involves running analytical solutions to enhance customer understanding, influence innovation, and provide actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Enable decision-making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources for presentation in a digestible format.
Architect efficient data models for analysis and reporting.
Collaborate with product teams to identify gaps and trends in existing reporting.
Analyze large data sets using various database query and visualization tools.
Provide technical expertise in extracting, integrating, and analyzing critical data.
Design and develop key performance metrics and indicators using both standardized and custom reports.
Perform ad hoc analysis to quickly resolve time-sensitive operational issues and business cases.
Clearly communicate potential discrepancies and/or reporting downtime, including root cause, steps to resolution, and resolution date to a large end-user base.
Work with subject matter experts to document and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
Manage multiple projects and proactively communicate issues, priorities, and objectives.

A Day in the Life

You will work with stakeholders managing parts of the Amazon onsite or offsite sales experience. Your role includes identifying the best data to solve problems, generating ETL for foundational reporting, and providing insightful information.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Quicksight, or similar.
Proficient in using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting (Python) to process data for modeling.
Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
Proficiency in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.

Additional Information

Compensation: The base pay ranges from $89,600/year in the lowest geographic market to $185,000/year in the highest geographic market. Compensation includes equity, sign-on payments, and other benefits.
