Global Operations – AI (GO-AI) at Amazon is looking to hire candidates who can excel in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

The Global Operations – Artificial Intelligence (GO-AI) team is an initiative that remotely handles exceptions in Amazon Robotic Fulfillment Centers globally. GO-AI seeks to complement automated vision-based decision-making technologies by providing remote human support for tasks requiring higher cognitive abilities, which automated decision-making cannot process with high confidence. This team provides end-to-end solutions through inbuilt competencies of operations and strong central specialized teams to deliver programs at Amazon scale. It operates multiple programs, including Nike IDS, Proteus, Sparrow, and other new initiatives in partnership with global technology and operations teams.

GO-AI is looking for a motivated individual with strong skills and experience in executing scalable and robust BI solutions to join the GO-AI R&D Insights team. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting our sites to build complex resource management processes for the rapidly expanding GO-AI team. The role requires the ability to work with a variety of key stakeholders across job functions at multiple sites.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and analytical team member who is passionate about working with software engineers, applied scientists, internal and external stakeholders, program managers, and operations.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Understand the business context and technologies behind GO-AI’s data infrastructure by working with internal and external software development, applied science, program management, operations, and support teams.
  • Maintain and refine straightforward ETL processes, write secure, stable, testable, maintainable code with minimal defects, and automate manual processes.
  • Work with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g., Excel, QuickSight, Tableau, PowerBI) and, as needed, statistical methods (e.g., t-test, Chi-squared) to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Build and own small to mid-size BI solutions, using data sets, queries, reports, dashboards, analyses, or components of larger solutions to answer straightforward business questions with data.
  • Incorporate business intelligence best practices, data management fundamentals, and analysis principles.
  • Understand the relevant data lineage of data sources, metrics aggregation, and apply to BI solutions to share data-driven solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. experience.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight, or similar tools.
  • Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g., t-test, Chi-squared).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or R).
  • Experience building and maintaining basic data artifacts (e.g., ETL, data models, queries).
  • Experience gathering business requirements, using industry-standard business intelligence tools to extract data, formulate metrics, and build reports.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or advanced technical degree.
  • Knowledge of how to improve code quality and optimize BI processes (e.g., speed, cost, reliability).
  • Experience with statistical analysis, correlation analysis.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design.
  • Proficiency with AWS tools and technologies like Redshift, Athena, S3, SageMaker, Lambda, EC2, etc.
