ADIDAS IS HIRING JUNIOR DATA & PLATFORM ENGINEER

This position at adidas for a Junior Data & Platform Engineer offers a dynamic role within the EU Digital Analytics team. Based in Gurgaon, India, this role primarily focuses on building and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting reporting processes in collaboration with global teams, particularly from Amsterdam.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Engineering & Monitoring:
   • Develop data pipelines using Apache Spark in a cloud environment.
   • Create Fact Tables in Databricks Lakehouse for the Analytics team.
   • Code using SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
   • Automate processes through CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
   • Write clean, readable, and well-documented code with tests.
   • Participate in Agile Sprint Rituals with both the Gurgaon and Amsterdam teams.
   • Implement new reporting structures and ensure data accuracy and quality.
   • Monitor critical data pipelines and automate monitoring processes.
2. Power BI Reports Governance:
   • Perform updates and enhancements to Power BI dashboards based on analyst input.
   • Coordinate with analysts and the PBI platform team to manage workspaces.
   • Maintain Ad groups for proper data access and security.
   • Ensure adherence to best practices in Power BI setup, governance, and scalability.

Requirements:

• Strong background in SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
• Experience working with Apache Spark and Databricks Lakehouse.
• Familiarity with CI/CD using Jenkins.
• Ability to collaborate across multinational teams.
• Basic experience with Power BI dashboard management.

Team & Environment:

• Part of the Digital Analytics department within the eCom team.
• Directly reports to the Manager ML Ops & Data Engineering.
• Collaborates with teams across the Gurgaon Tech Hub and Amsterdam.
