Job Summary:
The Data Analyst II will work closely with both business and technical stakeholders to manage data processes, including gathering requirements, documenting data flows, and creating visualizations. This role focuses on data extraction, transformation, analysis, and reporting using tools such as SQL, Power BI, and Tableau. You will collaborate across departments to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance, reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Services in the Business Enterprise Systems Technology department.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with multiple teams to define reporting and analytical requirements.
- Work with business stakeholders to translate their needs into data reporting specifications.
- Retrieve and manipulate data using SQL, ETL tools, and other methods.
- Cleanse and transform data to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis.
- Develop data models to support reporting needs, such as data cubes and star schemas.
- Create and maintain standardized reports and dashboards using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Design data visualizations that communicate insights effectively to non-technical users.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to provide actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with data security regulations and internal policies.
- Align data solutions with business objectives and ensure smooth data migration.
- Communicate project status and issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Maintain documentation on data migration processes and provide post-migration support.
- Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to develop solutions for complex business operations.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define technical strategies and high-level designs.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, visualization, and data warehousing.
- Proficient in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience utilizing Python libraries for data analysis and visualization.
- Strong understanding of data structures, databases, and data models.
- Proficient in designing process workflows and data diagrams.
- Experience in Agile development, including familiarity with Epics, Features, and Stories.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage daily stand-ups, escalations, and risks.
- Self-directed, adaptable, and passionate about technology and digital transformation.
