Position Overview:

Role: Network Operations Engineer
Location: Chennai, India (Hybrid role with work-from-home and office days)

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the next generation of routing and switching equipment while supporting the current network infrastructure.
Perform core-level network troubleshooting and resolve complex issues within established timeframes.
Handle network operations ticket queues and inbound calls to the Network Operations Center (NOC).
Provide technical administration and analysis for network and hardware/software operations.
Work with vendors to address hardware and software issues.
Create Root Cause documents and collaborate with end-user support to implement network solutions.
Participate in internal training, enhance technical skills, and mentor other team members.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience:
- Four or more years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency with Edge Network technologies, including Cisco Routers/Switches, SD-WAN, and White box Technology.
- Experience with networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, HSRP, VLANs, STP) and packet capture tools (e.g., Sniffer, Wireshark).
- Experience in troubleshooting transport circuits and supporting load balancer technologies.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting.
- Ability to learn new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Master’s degree or five or more years of work experience.
Certifications:
- Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CCSA, or SDN/NFV certification.
- Aruba Networks certification (ACMA or ACMP).
Skills:
- Strong understanding of Cisco platforms (ASR, ISR, Catalyst, Nexus, UCS).
- Experience with White box, SD-WAN Technology.
- Scripting ability in Python, Perl, or Linux shell.
