Job Description:

As a Design Verification Engineer at Qualcomm, you will join a dynamic Integrated Wireless Technology team (IEEE 802.11) focused on developing advanced wireless technologies embedded into ARM-based SoC infrastructures. You will be responsible for developing hardware blocks (IP design), conducting high/mid/low-level design reviews, and delivering IP to the subsystem team to create complex SoCs. You will play a critical role in the WLAN subsystem, contributing to IP design and signing off the core to the SoC design team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and review hardware blocks (IP design).
• Conduct high, mid, and low-level design reviews.
• Deliver IP to the subsystem team for SoC development.
• Contribute to WLAN subsystem IP design and integration.
• Sign off the core to the SoC design team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field, with 2+ years of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field, with 1+ year of Hardware Engineering or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of Wireless connectivity technologies (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be).
  • Understanding of SoC architecture, including ARM CPUs, communication peripherals, multi-domain clocking, bus and interconnect structures, and power management.
  • Strong fundamentals in Wireless and Mobile communications, Information theory, Coding theory, and Signal processing.
  • Expertise in fixed-point implementation, including truncation, rounding, and saturation concepts.
  • Proficiency in digital communication engines (e.g., Demodulator, Deinterleaver, Viterbi/Turbo Decoders, Sigma-Delta modulation, Baseband filters, FFT).
