You’ll work in one of the most complex data environments in the world, collaborating with multiple teams such as marketing, retail, finance, analytics, machine learning, and technology to deliver a real-time data processing solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Ownership: Design and execute end-to-end projects.
- Data Infrastructure Management: Oversee the worldwide Prime core services data infrastructure.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Establish key relationships across Amazon business units and Business Intelligence teams.
- Operational Excellence: Implement standardized and automated processes for operational and quality control to ensure accurate and timely data reporting.
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of data engineering experience.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
- Familiarity with query languages like SQL, PL/SQL, HiveQL, SparkSQL, or Scala.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or KornShell.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and EMR.
- Familiarity with ETL tools such as Informatica, ODI, SSIS, BODI, or Datastage.
