About the role
We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to enhance our systems and improve customer experience. Your responsibilities will include deploying updates, identifying production issues, and implementing customer-centric integrations. You will ensure operational processes are executed and automated efficiently and securely.
Responsibilities
- Design secure, sustainable, flexible, and cost-efficient cloud solutions.
- Execute IT strategies, architecture guidelines, and standards, guiding project teams through technology selection and security processes.
- Manage and maintain the Cloud DevOps pipeline, optimizing automated deployments.
- Define new patterns and standards as needed.
- Lead technology evaluations and implementations to address gaps in the Technology Architecture.
- Monitor standards/policy compliance and develop governance processes and tools.
- Mentor others and promote a culture of open communication and DevOps.
- Participate in incident response and post-mortem activities to identify and prevent root causes.
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes to streamline operations.
- Address performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and security vulnerabilities proactively.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in the field.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols like HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP.
- Hands-on experience with AWS/GCP.
- Detailed understanding of Linux.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes.
- Expertise in web server technologies (nginx, Apache, etc.).
- Expertise in shell scripting (python/Ruby is a plus).
- Expertise in GIT and Terraform.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing full application stacks, from OS configuration to custom applications.
- Programming experience (Bash/Python/Go).
- Thorough understanding of networking technologies.
- Solid understanding of monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
