As a Business Intelligence Engineer on Amazon’s last-mile quality team, you will be a pivotal influencer aligning goals with Technology, Operations, and Finance teams. This role involves direct engagement with global stakeholders and requires a dynamic individual with high energy and mental agility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to present effectively to VPs and SVPs are essential.

Key Strategic Objectives

Vision and Strategy: Lead quality improvement through global address management programs. Shape strategies for customer-facing products essential to the customer experience.
Leadership: Raise the bar on quality and performance as a key member of the last-mile leadership team. Innovate and prioritize fast-moving priorities, competitive pressures, and operational initiatives.
Collaboration: Partner closely with product and technology teams to define and build innovative customer experiences.
Analytical Skills: Break down complex problems to drive product development efficiently.
Continuous Improvement: Set the tempo for defect reduction and drive accountability across business units for large-scale projects.
Customer Focus: Manage customer expectations, resolve conflicts, and maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders effectively.
Operational Excellence: Balance policy-making with hands-on execution to achieve operational performance and predictability.
Influence and Strategy: Use quantitative and qualitative data to prioritize and influence product roadmaps.
Growth and Development: Support scalable growth and enable the success of the Operations leadership team.
Role Model: Embody and promote Amazon Leadership Principles within and outside the organization.

Basic Qualifications

2+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
Proficiency in data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
Experience with scripting languages like Python, Java, or R.
Expertise in building and maintaining basic data artifacts (ETL, data models, queries).
Application of basic statistical methods (e.g., regression) to business problems.
Experience in gathering business requirements and using industry-standard BI tools to extract data, formulate metrics, and build reports.
Proven track record of generating business insights and collaborating with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of improving code quality and optimizing BI processes (speed, cost, reliability).
Understanding of data modeling and data pipeline design.
Experience in designing and implementing custom reporting systems using automation tools.
