Amazon is seeking an Operations Manager for its Transportation team.
Essential Functions:
- Define, build, and execute transportation processes, from FC (Fulfillment Center) to customers, leveraging our Last Mile (LM) network.
- Responsible for hiring, training, and building a highly motivated workforce for the LM teams, with support from HR and the training team, to meet operational requirements while continuously meeting high standards of quality and productivity.
- Coordinate with Finance, Customer Service, Fulfillment Center, and Projects team on matters related to LM operations.
- Continuously improve the LM process to achieve a sustained level of performance standards. Initiate improvements to enhance quality standards, reduce waste, and eliminate unnecessary work.
- Analyze data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and improve performance.
- Implement formal process control and process improvement mechanisms, such as Kaizen.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of experience in performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques
