We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of a Senior Consultant Specialist.

In This Role, You Will

Be responsible for the hands-on design, build, and delivery of new as well as existing services.
Support the application and services in production, using monitoring tools to manage applications and respond to technical alerts raised.
Maintain operational stability, integrity, and availability of products and services.
Adopt industry-standard best practices.
Identify and remove barriers to success, always acting in HSBC’s best interests and willing to openly discuss potentially difficult topics.
Promote and take accountability for quality; identify opportunities to improve delivery quality and oversee the governance process to reduce risk and ensure effective and timely decisions.
Promote a positive work culture based on respect for people, integrity of actions, creativity, and collaboration leading to increased productivity.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

Strong hands-on experience in requirement gathering, coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms, and metrics collection.
Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring (CORE, AOP, REST).
Strong hands-on experience in extracting and transforming data using the Spark framework.
Strong hands-on experience with software development life cycle and DevOps tooling (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Ansible, Maven) and Agile Methodology.
Strong hands-on experience in RDBMS and No SQL databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL.
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Solace, Maven, Jenkins Pipelines, and different design patterns.
A working understanding of service-based architecture with good interface practices.
Scripting knowledge and experience with business rule technology like Drools is a plus.
Experience with highly scalable and data-intensive applications is a plus.
