Key Responsibilities:

1. Analytical Strategy Development:
   • Develop and implement a long-term analytical strategy.
   • Influence multiple departments using analytics to increase productivity and effectiveness.
2. Data Analysis and Business Recommendations:
   • Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity.
   • Present written business recommendations that help shape the business roadmap.
3. Large Scale Data Mining:
   • Find trends and problems through data mining and communicate findings to drive corrective action.
4. Experimental and Analytic Plans:
   • Develop plans for data modeling processes, establish baselines, and determine cause-and-effect relationships.
5. Statistical and Machine Learning Methods:
   • Apply these methods to address specific business problems.
   • Collaborate with the Machine Learning team in model building, validation, and creation of targeting strategies.
6. Metrics and Reports:
   • Design, develop, and maintain metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc., to drive key business decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, or an equivalent quantitative field.
• Professional Experience:
  • Previous experience working as a BIE in a technology company.
  • Experience developing and presenting new metrics to better understand business performance.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL and understanding of data warehousing concepts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Problem-Solving Skills:
  • An inquisitive mindset with proven problem-solving abilities.
  • A passion for big data.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Experience building multi-dimensional data models.
  • Experience with highly available, distributed systems for data extraction, ingestion, modeling, and processing.
  • Proficiency in regression, classification, and cluster analysis.
• Data Visualization:
  • Knowledge and experience with data visualization/reporting tools like Tableau or QuickSight.
• Advanced Analytical Tools:
  • Advanced skills in SQL, data mining, and analytical tools such as R, Python, or SAS.
• Communication Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
• Product Management Exposure:
  • Exposure to product management is a plus.
